Слово פּתיגיל (pethı̂ygı̂yl) — гапакс: во всём еврейском Писании оно встречается единственный раз, именно здесь. Внутри корпуса его не с чем сверить, поэтому значение устанавливается по контексту и родственным языкам — надёжного подтверждения в самих текстах нет. Отсюда веер передач: KJV — «instead stomacher», ASV — «instead robe», BSB — «fine clothing». Каждая — обоснованная догадка переводчиков; выбрать одну как «правильную» данные не позволяют. Составители статьи «Hapax Legomena» в Jewish Encyclopedia (1906) сами пометили значение этого слова знаком (?). Редчайшие слова — обычное дело для древнего корпуса: это честная граница знания, а не дефект текста.
